L is for RE-LEASE
We all do it in some form or fashion – hang on to things longer than we should, some things anyway.
It’s time we look at releasing some of them.
I’m not suggesting a major overhaul. That would be too scary.
Let’s start with something small.
Clothes. I know you hate to admit it but, somewhere there is an article of clothing that just doesn’t fit. It no longer serves you. Maybe it never fit and it never will. It’s okay. For this challenge I am only suggesting to RE-LEASE 1 piece of clothing. Donate it, gift it, re-purpose it – whatever you feel is best. If you feel brave and adventurous you can try to fill a small bag of clothes and make room in your dresser or closet.
A Drawer. There’s always one, somewhere, that needs some tidying up (or purging). Some people call it the junk drawer and have at least 1. Usually it’s because you have no idea where else to put your stuff. Find one and have at it. Empty it out completely, clean it out and decide what goes back in and how it can be organized for optimum benefit. Some things may be old and outdated and you just don’t need them anymore. Some things you may not need and can gift them to someone else. Some things just need to be thrown out before they disintegrate. (Like rubber bands….the decomposition of rubber bands is just…..weird).
Stress. We walk around every day with some toxic idea or worry that just doesn’t do us any good. In fact it’s actually hurting us and compromising our quality of life. Try to unwind and RE-LEASE some pent up tension and worry. You can scream into a pillow, laugh at a comedy skit or take a relaxing walk. Think of something simple that can help you be in a better state of mind.
Think of how good will you’ll feel once you complete this challenge. You can even continue on in different areas of your life or home and RE-LEASE even more!
I mean, really, who needs 87 rubber bands or 57 twisty ties? Seriously!
Until we meet again…Have a LOVELY day!
